Chris\u00e9l Mouton could make a case for being the finest wedding photographer working today and it would be difficult to contest such a claim. Her work ethic, her personality, her compassion, and passion underscored our experience of her craft. There are a million jitters one has on their wedding day. Photographs were not among them. She engaged us with a sense of familiarity, putting us at ease so she could draw out the authentic emotions from beneath the detritus of nerves and anxiety we otherwise might have felt. Wedding photos can be kitsch or forced, but she approaches and crafts scenes with a sense of inspiration and artistry, while still operating within the genre. I cannot recommend her enough. When it came time to look at photographers, she very quickly and without hesitation put Chrisel\u2019s name forward to us, and told us that her work is stunning and that she is always amazed at the quality of her photography. We had trusted her thus far, and so without hesitation we signed to have Chrisel capture our big day.<\/span><\/p>\n A week or so, prior to the wedding, Chrisel had requested a video call, to iron out final details and to get to know each other a little better. From the moment the call started we could tangibly feel her warmth and excitement towards us and our happy occasion. She made us both feel like long lost friends, listening to our story of how we met and what makes us \u2018tick\u2019, followed by the schedule for the wedding and what our thoughts and concerns were (if any). We both felt so much lighter after the chat because we knew she had really listened to us, and she had such clarity about what her vision was, so we felt it easy to just trust her and allow her to just get on with what she knows best.<\/span><\/p>\n On the day of the wedding, she arrived with such energy and excitement for us, it seemed to calm and centre us and thereby allow us to take in and enjoy the moments as she captured them. She had come with such a plan in mind, we seemed to flow from place to place, so we never felt bored or stagnant. All of what we had asked for her to capture, she did, never needing prompting. Her finger never seemed to move from capturing a moment, and before we knew it\u2026she was coming to hug us goodbye in the evening, leaving us only with a cheeky wink and promise that the images would be ready in due time.<\/span><\/p>\n We were sent a few sample pics, which only fuelled our excitement of what was to come. Eventually the day came where she informed us they had been sent. We sat down together to have a look and\u2026 WOW! The quality, energy, movement and emotion that she managed to capture was inspired! We sat there speechless and in awe of how she had truly seen our wedding through her lens and in doing so, allowed us to relive those moments again. She is not just a talented photographer, she is an artist and now our friend. How blessed we feel to have had her capture our Big Day, in a way that gives life to the images so that we can enjoy them always. We could not recommend her more highly to anyone.
